The Power of Will

Willpower doesn’t come to all in equal measures. It’s a skillfully crafted talent that takes dedication to the max. We decided to test this in a real live environment and went out in the world. Those present were Jill Y, Scurvy Jane, Sugartastic Daddy John, Thirsty Dave and my brilliant self. We went to a club and it wasn’t long before we were chatting away to an unsuspecting public. At this stage, I should probably mention that Thirsty Dave is not one who doesn’t drink beer. Our challenge was to offer him a beer in public to which his reply was to be “No thanks, I don’t drink myself”. The challenge was to see if we had the willpower to keep a straight face when he said these words. So Sugartastic Daddy John offered to get a round of drinks and the thirsty one said his line with the most serious face that he could call upon. For a moment, we all just looked at each other and then we fell to the ground with laughter. There was no way we were going to win this one. As I said, willpower doesn’t come to all in equal measures:
