An open letter to Alejandro González Iñárritu – Acclaimed Director of Babel; Biutiful; Birdman and The Revenant.

Dear Alejandro González Iñárritu,

Among the 19 faces below who have never won an Oscar, there’s a certain someone who never should. For the sake of anonymity, we’ll call him Will Smith. I was hoping you can do me a favor and not make a film with this so-called Actor. Why, you ask? Well, I’m glad you asked. I don’t want him to win an Oscar.

Obligingly yours,

Bill Y

ps: you should make another film with Javier Bardem.

  1. We must all rely on Bill Y Ledden to tell us who is worthy of adulation and who is not. Bill Y is our own arbiter of good taste and he warns us against the evils of Bon Jovi, and now Will Smith. Thank you, Bill Y.

  2. Why, Bill Y, you have a crush on Keira Knightley! You have revealed yourself.

(In your tags, Naomi Watts doesn’t even get mentioned—but Keira is “the beautiful Keira Knightley” when nobody else gets any complimentary adjective.)

    1. I have a special place in my heart for Kiera Knightley alas, I couldn’t think of Naomi Watts name. I guess, I don’t like Naomi and much as I do, Kiera.

  3. This list brings me back to what I’ve been saying all along: Why was it such a big deal that Leo win one, when so many great actors never did? (And when some not so great actors got one?)

    1. I couldn’t agree with you more and how come Joaquin Phoenix doesn’t have a dozen of them? The man is a genius.
