Runner’s oxymorons:

“Run Fast”

You’ve got to be kidding, at my age? My mantra is “A 12 minute mile is just as far as a 6 minute mile”.

“Easy Miles”

What’s the point? If it was easy, everyone would do it. If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you. Remember, no pain, no gain!

“Sanitary Porta Potty”

Not very likely! Take your own Handi-Wipes or better yet, get it done before hand!

“Unwatched Running Watch”

Why are you looking at your watch every 30 seconds? Do you really like to prolong the agony? If you’re trying to improve your pace try catching the runner in front of you. They’re the competition, not your watch!

“Cold Sweat”

Maybe before but not during or after!

“Running In Place”

One of the definitions of running is “to go rapidly or hurriedly”. Can’t do that “in place”.

“Fast Recovery”

I wish!
