Author: Miss Nackawic

Chris Helgason is the illustrator behind The World According to Miss Nackawic. He grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan, spent 12 years in the army and now works as an aircraft maintenance engineer. He has loved and dabbled in drawing for as long as he can remember; it wasn't until art therapy as part of PTSD therapy that he realized creating animated characters was his life's passion. Fate intervened and the comic strip, The World According to Miss Nackawic was born! He and his wife have two grown children. Colleen Landry writes the script for The World According to Miss Nackawic. She is a high school writing teacher by day and author (and sometimes stand-up comedian!) by night. She has co-authored a children's book series (Follow the Goose Butt, Camelia Airheart!; Take off to Tantramar, and Follow the Goose Butt to Nova Scotia). She is the author of recently published humor book called Miss Nackawic Meets Midlife. She and her husband have two grown sons.
